President’s Message

It is with honour that I take on the President position for the Leamington District Chamber of Commerce for the 2018-2019 term. I am pleased with the confidence given to me by the Board of Directors. As I begin my term, I have a strong sense of optimism about the Chamber and the entire community for 2018.

As an entrepreneur involved in owning and operating a local business, and as an advocate of the business community and the community at large, I am aware of the Chamber’s role as a community builder across sectors. The Leamington District Chamber of Commerce represents the voice of businesses and organizations throughout our community at Town Hall, provincially at Queen’s Park and nationally in Ottawa.  We are committed and engaged to provide proactive approaches to the challenges that the business community faces.

In addition to advocacy efforts, we provide many networking and educational events for our membership.  With a number of events each year, there is certainly something for everyone.  Our events range from education and training sessions to networking events, both large and small, like Business After 5 networking, our very popular Annual Golf Tournament and our annual business excellence event which attracts more than 200 business and industry leaders each year.

Lastly, we make every effort to ensure that we are able to also provide a thorough suite of services that can help benefit your business.  We have a number of valuable benefits that that members can take advantage of, such as the Chamber Group Insurance Plan, Credit & Debit Card Merchant Discount Rates, or savings through our Grand & Toy savings program.  These benefits ensure that Chamber membership means savings for your business.

As President, I look forward to serving you over the next year.  Together with the dedicated commitment of the 2018 Board of Directors, I will continue to advocate on behalf of our members, improve communications and programming to maximize Member experience, facilitate greater Member-to-Member connections and attract new Members.  If you have any questions or wish to get involved on any of our committees, please drop call us or stop in.

Renee Daudlin-Iacobelli, President
